Delaware Investments Hires Seasoned Pro to Lead U.S. Institutional Business

PHILADELPHIA--()--Delaware Investments (Delaware) today announced that Aiden J. Redmond Jr. has joined the firm to lead its U.S. institutional business. He is overseeing Delaware’s more than $38 billion in institutional assets (as of 3/31/11). Redmond brings more than 20 years of institutional investment sales and client service experience to Delaware. Most recently, he spent 17 years at BlackRock Financial Management and Merrill Lynch Investment Management as a managing director for institutional sales and client service.

Scott Coleman, executive vice president and head of distribution. “His disciplined approach to the sales process coupled with his experience and understanding of the institutional marketplace makes him an excellent choice to take Delaware’s established institutional business to the next level.”

Previously Redmond worked at Kidder, Peabody Asset Management in San Francisco and New York, and started his career at Merrill Lynch Capital Markets.

In his new position, Redmond, as senior vice president, head of institutional, reports to Coleman. He will manage institutional sales, client service, and consultant relations groups at Delaware, and be part of the overall distribution management team at the firm.
